Faraone, a manufacturer of architectural glass structures, aimed to redesign its flagship aluminum profile to reduce weight while meeting strict safety standards. Using Altair Inspire and SimSolid, engineers performed topology optimization and nonlinear validation on the NINFA125 profile. The simulation-driven workflow reduced weight by up to 18%, increased stiffness, and shortened design validation time dramatically. Engineers were able to test multiple design variants quickly and accurately without simplifying geometry. The optimized profile improved structural performance, accelerated product certification, and reduced overall development time and cost.
