PREVIOUS PROCESS: Marsh High Resolution Inkjet systems on multiple production lines filling cartons with boxes of dry cereal. The cartons were printed on the long panels then made a 90o transfer, and were then printed on the short panels. There were as many as 8 printheads per production line. The coders were stand alone and the databases had to be updated manually from line to line. SELECTION CRITERIA: The customer needed a modern system that could print new GS1-128 compliant barcodes. They wanted a vendor who had a strong name in the industry, proven installation base, a large service network and sales representatives who could provide innovative solutions.
