The CROMA Advanced Energy Platform is a surgical system designed for gastrointestinal therapeutic endoscopy, enabling surgeons to perform less invasive and more cost‑effective procedures. It delivers microwave and RF energy through a surgical instrument to cut tissue and cauterize wounds during lower‑intestine operations. Development began in 2013, and by 2019 the device received FDA and CE approvals as a Class IIb medical device. Now used worldwide, more than 100 surgeons across the US, Italy, the UK and South Africa have been trained on it. Future enhancements aim to extend its use to bronchoscopy and laparoscopy.
