CLIENT : Carillion LOCATION : Leeds DURATION: 3 Weeks FLOORSPACE : 168m2Opus 4 was appointed as the principal contractor to carry out a top-to-toe nine storey refurbishment at Direct Line’s regional headquarters in Leeds. As part of the £2.7m project, an area was stripped out and transformed into a Costa Coffee concession. Working to the design instructions of others, we installed new feature flooring, power and lighting, bespoke joinery items, acoustic ceiling pads, and open slatted timber partition sections. The new café replaced a drab old canteen which was rarely used by staff, who had a wide choice of amenities on their doorstep in Leeds. The new facility has seen a huge increase in numbers and has been a great success.
