Walthamstow School for Girls, educating 900 students in London, needed to refresh 500+ aging Windows 10 devices before support ended in 2025 while also reducing high energy use. Partnering with Insight, the school replaced Small Form Factor desktops with Desktop Mini devices, which offered only a 4% performance difference but consumed 66% less power and saved desk space. Through the Brighter Futures Trade-In Programme, old devices were securely recycled, generating cash back to reinvest in learning. The upgrade improved classroom engagement, productivity, sustainability, and cost efficiency, aligning with the school’s carbon reduction goals.
