Campus Lighting Retrofit Case Study: Reducing Energy & Maintenance Costs Auraria Higher Education Center campus located in downtown Denver, CO has recently replaced some of its Metal Halide lighting systems with Neptun Induction lighting systems. The energy savings for the 3 projects they have completed will save the school around $43,000 a year. Not only has Auraria seen a huge savings in their energy costs, but the retrofit will save an estimated $9,000 a year in maintenance and material costs. The Neptun Induction lighting systems have a rated 100,000 hour life, which means they will last up to 5 times longer than any Metal Halide or HPS lighting.
