Cable Decommissioning
The solution To accommodate the challenges of working in a live banking environment, the ExcelRedstone project management team scheduled the work over 16 weekends, working around change-freeze periods over Christmas and scheduled power downs. Change requests, permits to work, method statements and engineer names were to be submitted for each weekend, allowing access requests to be raised for approval by business heads. Once all engineers were signed into the building, smoke detectors would be isolated before any floors could be lied. At the end of each working day all isolations would be reinstated. Support sta would check every desktop PC aer the ExcelRedstone teams had removed redundant cabling from zoned areas, with repair kits to hand to mitigate against any risk
