Bus Station, Stoke-On-Trent
BUS STATION, STOKE-ON-TRENT A new iconic bus station opened in March 2013 in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Built as part of a multi-million pound development of Stoke’s city centre, the redevelopment aimed to transform this prominent city centre site into a premier regional shopping destination. The construction of the new “state-of-the-art” bus station is on the site of the former John Street surface car park. Work started in summer 2011 with a contract to stabilise the land and the main contract to construct the buildings and roads started just before Christmas 2011. Hardscape supplied Carlow Blue limestone bespoke benches and paving, Kellen Breccia Tagenta B C E mix paving and Kobra granite paving to the scheme liaising closely with Planit-IE Landscape Architects of Altrincham, Cheshire.
