The old bitumen felt roofs on the Family Care Unit had very little thermal value and large areas of blistered and split asphalt, allowing water in to the building, flooding patient wards and damaging expensive, sensitive equipment. Gables carried out a survey of the roof areas, took core samples and offered a warm roof overlay solution to bring the roof up to current building regulations.
