System Objectives The intent of the automated system was to consolidate WIP using vertical storage methods, streamline material flow and automate the majority of pallet movement within the facility. In addition to WIP management, BPC also identified other objectives expected of the material-handling project: • Reduction in overall cost of production (training, turnover, etc) • Standardized processes and more predictable production
