Founded in 1983, BIMCOR is a wholly owned subsidiary of BCE Inc. and, with assets of over $15 billion, is one of Canada’s largest pension funds. Over the last few years, the company has implemented new business and operational models that involve strategic alliances and partnerships. Since 2009 it has transferred most of its money management to outside managers – a strategy that has been emulated by several other pension fund managers. After having implemented a new portfolio performance and accounting system in 2009, BIMCOR chose RIMES in 2013 to manage its index data and benchmarks. The partnership has delivered BIMCOR both qualitative and quantifiable benefits and RIMES is regarded as an extension of its own operation. Case study BIMCOR chooses the RIMES Benchmark Data
