Bartow-Northeast 230 kV UG Line Client: Progress Energy Florida Location: Florida, USA The expansion of the Bartow Power Plant required the installation of three additional 230 kV underground circuits and one future circuit connecting the power plant and the Northeast Substation. POWER was contracted to provide design and construction inspection for the project. In Phase I POWER determined the best cable system for the project through investigation and comparison of high pressurize fluid-filled and solid dielectric systems. In Phase II POWER provided complete engineering for installation of the selected 230 kV XLPE system.
