By utilizing real-time data streaming, the bank improved customer experiences, reduced operational costs, and simplified its IT infrastructure. Early use cases included integrating back-end services, improving fraud detection, and automating customer notifications. Confluent's stream processing capabilities, particularly with ksqlDB, allowed BTPN to optimize resources, reduce the load on their core database, and enhance digital services like the Jenius mobile app. The bank plans to continue expanding its use of Confluent, including replacing legacy systems like IBM MQ for greater performance and availability.
