Bajo Almanzora Desalination Plant
Within the actions of the program A.G.U.A in the Mediterranean basins entrusted to ACUAMED society, whose main goals are to increase water resources, improve the management of water and restore the environment, is included the construction of the desalination plant of Bajo Almanzora. The desalination plant of Bajo Almanzora is located in the Almeria municipality of Cuevas de Almazora between the towns of Palomares and Villaricos and provides its 15 Hm3 of irrigation water and 5 Hm3 for the urban water supply of several districts in Levante almeriense. This plant, with a production capacity of 60.000 m3/d, in 4 reverse osmosis lines, was awarded to the joint venture formed by FCC Construcción, BEFESA Agua, AQUALIA Infraestructuras y AQUALIA Gestión Integral del Agua with a total
