CASE STUDY CROSS-BORDER ANPR Trac Tech (Gulf) supplied, installed, and commissioned 18 lanes of ANPR System integrated with iTMS (Intelligent Transport Management System) at Abu Samra, the border that links the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The system is used by the Borders and Immigration Authority of Qatar to monitor and control all vehicles coming in and out of the country. The project was commissioned in June 2011 with 16 operational lanes, and two additional lanes were later added in March 2012. Trac Tech implemented the project through a subcontract agreement with the main contractor, Iteqan Technologies Qatar. The system is the rst of its kind in Qatar.
