Automatic flow control valves at water treatment works in Yorkshire Six control valves were delivered at two water production sites in Yorkshire, UK. Each of the sites has three boreholes individually connected to a flow control valve. When the pump starts, the water is unclean and the valve opens to flush it out. The solenoid override closes the valve once turbidity is achieved and when the flow control valve is fully closed, water is pumped into the distribution network. The water treatment works in Yorkshire are only allowed to flush a certain flow into the creek and therefore the control valves are needed to limit the flow accordingly.
