Intel partnered with Audi and Nebbiolo Technologies to develop a scalable edge analytics and machine learning platform that automates quality inspections in Audi’s factories. Replacing manual sampling, the solution enables real-time inspection of 100% of welds on up to 1,000 cars daily at Audi’s Neckarsulm plant. Using Intel's Industrial Edge Insights software and Nebbiolo’s Converged Edge Platform, data from welding controllers is analyzed at the edge, allowing predictive modeling, faster insights, and better process control. The platform enhances scalability, reduces costs, and sets a blueprint for future smart factory use cases beyond welding.
