The Brief: The Brief: Grade II-listed Ashton Old Baths sat empty for 40 years before Manchester property developer PlaceFirst and Tameside Council implemented a refurbishment programme with the support of funding from grants from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Inside the 1870s original structure, exible oce space, event space, break-out areas and free-standing, self-contained oce pods were designed and built, and the building is now used as a digital, creative and media hub. CP Electronics were asked to provide intelligent lighting solutions that would maximise savings in both cost and energy to support Manchester council’s energy eciency targets while providing a solution in- keeping with the historic nature of Ashton Old Baths.
