Peter Brett (PBA) | Arran Distillery Arran Distillery Isle of Arran Distillers Ltd. is seeking to expand its operation in response to increasing market demand for their whisky and Scotch Whisky in general. The development is located at Kilmory on the south end of the island at Lochranza. The innovative architectural design is a departure from the traditional ‘pagoda’ style distillery buildings that can be seen at many Scottish distilleries. An awareness of the natural environment led to a concept of a bird in flight. Arran’s mountains also influenced design leading to an eventual roof profile that reflects both the wildlife of the island and the recognisable profile of Arran’s highest peaks – Goat Fell and Glen Rosa.
