Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys (SZPAB) is a fee-paying school in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), providing a curriculum to students founded on the American Common Core Standards. John Conway, the principal of the school, explains how he compared cognitive ability data with attainment data to identify group and individual learning support needs. The students attending the school are almost exclusively Arabic speakers, 90% of whom are from the local Emirati population. Although almost every student has some spoken English, none are fluent.
