Case Study Completed in October 2015, this solid brick refurbishment on Alma Hill which received GDHIF funding, successfully delivered a .30 u-value calculation, down from 1.9 using the SPSenvirowall grey EPS board and a colour through render finish which was installed by Westville Group who also carried out roofline and window works to the property. The Challenges Westville faced working with a previously poor render and window bays, requiring the placement of new structural steel lintels and the renewal of all rainwater goods. The addition of a new porch had to ensure no cold bridging occurred, this was achieved using an internal board to overlap. To the delight of the customers, their house was transformed from being unpleasant and uninviting into an attractive and warm home.
