Agricultural Health Study Challenge The Agricultural Health Study (AHS) is a large, complex and multifaceted prospective scientific project that is a collaborative effort of four federal partners including the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The primary purpose of the Agricultural Health Study is to assess the health effects of occupational exposures, particularly to pesticides, on farmers and their families.
