All rights reserved. Challenge • A lathe machine is supposed to be setup on a workshop floor that is prone to vibration. Due to unbalance in typical working conditions, the machine will introduce harmonic forces into the floor causing vibration that will influence the precision of other machines and might be harmful to the operating staff and the structure of the building. Solutions • Decoupling the machine from the floor using elastic mount elements will reduce the force introduced, the vibration can be absorbed through a vibration absorber attached to the floor or a combination of measures
