Soldiers are trained at Fort Leonard Wood, MO on both building and maintaining the bridges, which are capable of carrying the weight of the military’s heavy metal fleet and tracked vehicles. In September 2013, 120 soldiers from the 814th Multi-Role Bridge Company, Fort Polk, LA, were brought to Fort Leonard Wood to get hands-on training with the bridges they will be building during deployment.
