CASE STUDY A127 Ardleigh Green Bridge: Dynamic Monitoring CLIENT: SEVERFIELD / HOCHTIEF / TFL THE CHALLENGE As part of TfL’s ongoing improvement of the London road network it was decided to replace the aging Ardleigh Green Bridge, which carries the A127 Southend arterial road over a TfL rail line. The new bridge was constructed parallel to the existing one and has wider lanes, footways and verges. Hochtief UK were appointed as the main contractor and brought onboard Severfield, who are structural steel specialists.
