A10 FlexPool Licensing and Virtual Appliances Improve Bandwidth Allocation and Boosts NEC's Multi-Cloud Business

Pages 5 Pages

NEC leveraged A10 FlexPool to deliver a flexible gateway service that lets clients allocate bandwidth from a shared pool via a self-service portal. Virtual appliances reduced lead time for service delivery, while transferring configuration rights to clients enabled a business model where they could use only the functions they needed. These improvements addressed critical challenges such as the lack of gateway functions for cloud IaaS and the need to minimize initial investment and lead time for providing these services. The project was led by Kazuhiko Nakahara from the Cloud IaaS Group.
