65 Davies Street Crossrail will provide a new high speed east-west link through central London, connecting Canary Wharf in the east to Heathrow Airport in the west. Its infrastructure is of a considerably more generous scale than the current underground network and is planned to facilitate stations and trains which have a capacity twice that of the tube. This requirement poses considerable challenges for the design of central London stations and their associated developments such as Bond Street Station which is situated within the tight urban grid of Mayfair.
