PROBLEM: Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport serves Siem Reap, a popular tourist destination due to nearby Angkor Wat. It is the busiest airport in Cambodia in terms of aircraft movements. The airport's new terminal was inaugurated on 28 August 2006. Upgrades were undertaken in 2017 to ensure the runways were kept dry during the rainy season. During rain events stormwater is lead into the stormwater system which drains out into open ditches.
