That individual expert stated that fall protection products (harness, lanyards, etc.) expire after five years. According to this individual, this information was from OSHA as well as the manufacturer requirements. This caused concern with our key account and they asked us to provide options to replace the fall protection they had in stock. Consideration Quest’s technical expert was concerned with the accuracy of this information. We consulted OSHA with regards of the proper standard for fall protection.
